Joseph "Frank" Knotts Jr.

Joseph "Frank" Knotts, Jr., age 79, of El Paso, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015. He was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and an Officer in the United States Air Force. Frank was in the insurance business, spending most of his professional career with State Farm Insurance. His many extracurricular activities included Lions Club of El Paso (Officer), El Paso Horseless Carriage Club (Officer), Kiwanis and Rotary Club of El Paso. Frank had a passion for gardening, eventually achieving the rank of Master Gardner. He also loved to travel, and was always searching for his next travel partner. Frank was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Chris Raney of Frisco, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Joe Hicks of Denver, CO; sister and brother-in-law, Emmy and David Alvarez of Salado, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Lilly Knotts of El Paso, TX; brother Dr. Elias Huereque of El Paso, Tx; grandchildren Carson Raney, Cooper Raney, Hudson Hicks, Marco Hicks, Charley Hicks; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His family would like to send out a special thank you to the loving people of Hospice El Paso. Those who wish may donate in his memory to the El Paso Humane Society. Services will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015, 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home West, 5054 Doniphan Drive, El Paso, TX. Visitation will be at the same location from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
