Dad,
It has been a month since that Thursday morning we said Good Bye, not knowing that it would be our last. We greatly miss you. You showed us to be brave, determined, not to give up, and to find the positive while enjoying our daily lives. Your loving memories will live in our hearts. Thus, we will not say “Good Bye” but instead continue living our lives and look forward to be united with you again.
As it is stated in this poem:

"The Broken Chain"
We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly.
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone;
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
But as God call us one by one,
The chain will be linked again.

I thank God for the years we were able to spend together. Because of you i have learned to never give up and that anything is possible if you try. You will always be one of the people that i look up to and i hope i get to be at least half the person you were. I love you very much and i will see you in my dreams.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity as a child to make mistakes, have a home when troubled and a chance to listen to my stories of where ever I had been every chance I took to visit. You will be missed. Thought of often, never forgotten.
