- September 29, 1927 - January 1, 2021

Junko Rizzutto, 93, of El Paso, TX and Bakersfield, CA

Our beloved mother, Junko, passed away peacefully at the home of her family in Bakersfield, CA on January 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James G. Rizzutto. They met and married in Japan, but always resided in the United States, where she called home. She is survived by her loving sister, Chieko Enzaki of Yokohama, Japan; her sons, Roy Rizzutto and his wife, Brenda; James M. Rizzutto and his wife Mindy, and her daughters, Mary Pierce and Joyce McGlew and her husband Timothy. Junko was also a beloved grandmother to Albert Delgado; Laura and Jennifer Amos; Shawn Rizzutto and wife Annie; Angel Schumaker; and Christopher, Bret and Cameron McGlew. She was a great-grandmother to Hokulani Junko, Cody, Ashley, Esai and Angel. For much of her life Junko was a proud, beautiful homemaker, wife and mother, not to mention a talented and well-known seamstress in El Paso. However, she was also a bright and resourceful inventor always looking at how to: build a better mousetrap". In 1984, she was awarded a United States patent for a new kind of corsage/boutonniere pin. Services will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina, El Paso, TX on Feb 8, 2021.The family request that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the charity of your choice in her memory. Of course, prayers will always be appreciated.
