El Paso - Leandro (Leo) Muñoz passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the age of 89. Leo was born in El Paso, Texas on August 23, 1931, to father Leandro Muñoz (Sr.) and mother Marina Ortega. His strong work ethic led him to enlist in the Army at only 17 years of age to honorably serve his country during the Korean War. Leo returned to El Paso and met his love, Irma Reyes. They married in 1955 and were married for 58 years bringing six children into the world. Leo was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years. Leo was a strong, loving father. He was known for having a strong work ethic, a great sense of humor, and his ability to make friends anywhere he went. He will be dearly missed. Leo is survived by his children: Susana Patricia Muñoz (Daniel Chavez), Carolina Frances Bruck (Steve Bruck), Leandro David Muñoz, Daniel Muñoz (Katia Muñoz), Annette Krimmer (Gary Krimmer), Christopher Muñoz (Adriana Muñoz), including 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Soledad Walaski, Cecilia Brieden and Refugio Jose Muñoz. He is preceded by siblings Josefina Sedeño and Luis Munoz.
Leandro (Leo) Muñoz falleció pacíficamente mientras dormía el sábado 28 de noviembre del 2020 a la edad de 89 años. Leo nació en El Paso, Texas el 23 de agosto de 1931, hijo de Leandro Muñoz (Sr.) y su madre Marina Ortega. Su fuerte ética laboral lo llevó a alistarse en el ejército con solo 17 años de edad para servir honorablemente a su país durante la Guerra de Corea. Leo regresó a El Paso y conoció a su amor, Irma Reyes. Se casaron en 1955 y estuvieron casados por 58 años, trayendo seis hijos al mundo. Leo trabajó en el Servicio Postal de Estados Unidos durante 30 años. Era un padre fuerte y amoroso. Fue conocido por tener una sólida ética de trabajo, un gran sentido del humor y su capacidad para hacer amigos dondequiera que fuera. Lo echaremos mucho de menos. A Leo le sobreviven sus hijos: Susana Patricia Muñoz (Daniel Chávez), Carolina Frances Bruck (Steve Bruck), Leandro David Muñoz, Daniel Muñoz (Katia Muñoz), Annette Krimmer (Gary Krimmer), Christopher Muñoz (Adriana Muñoz), incluidos sus 14 nietos y 16 bisnietos.
