Sending our deepest condolences to the Estes family. Ms. Estes was by far the best teacher I ever had. I have many fond memories of being in her fourth grade class at Hacienda Heights. From making ice cream (she let me pick pistachio as the flavor), to field trips with the Bel Air Pipe band, she always made me feel like she genuinely cared. Sending a big hug to Mr. Estes from Juan and Veronica Moreno.

Johnny Mac and family...have known you both nearly 57 years! Being a part of your first "Pipe Band" was indeed special to each of us! Flo was so sweet, raising two children, (at that time Bobby & Tracy) and still being so supportive of you and us. we grew to Love this lady and what her presence meant to everyone. We have so enjoyed spending time with you all when we had our reunions in El Paso.....it won't ever be the same without her, she will always be remembered. Much love and prayers to you and your family

Dearest Mr. Estes,

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on hearing of the passing of your best friend, your partner in life, your loving wife, Mari. I can still recall how welcoming Mari was to myself and the entire Bel Air Pipe Band at your home when you would hold cookouts so we could receive our honors and patches. Mari's cooking was superb. The saying "Behind Every Great Man Is A Supportive Woman," applies. Every member I performed with as part of the Bel Air Pipe Band love and respect you. Mari allowed you the time to invest on your students, of whom I was blessed to be one. My twin sister, Norma, benefited by Mari's motherly example. Our prayers are with you and your loved ones.

Sincerely,

Amelia

Flo was a wonderful friend, always kind and gracious. She was an outstanding teacher who enriched the lives of the many students who passed through her classroom. She was also an encouragement and wonderful example to those of us who were fortunate enough to be her colleagues at Hacienda Heights. My deepest sympathy to her family and to the many young people who were blessed to be part of her family through the years. I will miss you, Flo, but know you are in the loving arms of Jesus.
