Hola Guera, Just here think of you, I have not been sleeping well for the past two days...maybe because I miss you & feel that you were not ready to go...or maybe because you are in a much better place then we all are...Well I hope you can hear everything I say to you and I think about you all the time it's as if my heart is missing a piece. A piece that you took with you when you left. Soon it will be a month and we will get together and pray for you. May you RIP.
Love you caracola!

Mayra was indeed the best mom around. I loved how much she loved and took care of her family. She was such a joy around Tierra Del Sol. You will be missed greatly, but your smile and goodness are left behind in each of us. I will be forever grateful for the pure sweetness and kindness you showed me and my family. Your goodness lives on in each of us and your dear family! God bless each of you!

I had the pleasure of getting to know Mayra when I taught Mario in second grade. She was such a wonderful asset to our classroom. She was the life of the parties and field trips. Mario is such a well-mannered child.

We will all miss her in our physical presence, but we know she will always be with us in spirit. Just know that whenever you see a falling star, that is her sending you a kiss.

Mario, you don't have to be strong for everyone. It is ok to miss Mom and to cry. It's part of the process and it will help you. Look at her pictures and remember the happy times with her. (I did. Remember our Hawaiian Christmas party?)

Love, Ms. Graves

Mayra,
Funny how things work. I was in El Paso for my uncle Carlos' funeral -one final goodbye. On my flight home a very lovely woman sat by me & shared your love for life, family & friends. I know you wished to be a teacher ,well guess what? You've taught me to live it BIG!
You are loved & missed by many

Myra: Thank you for showing me the ways of a "domestic engineer"
(stay home mom).. You taught me that it was not my house that needed attending, but my children. I will never forget the field trips, parties, the "Hey wey", and all that we shared. I will miss you my friend. Christmas is not awaiting the birth of Christ, but it is awaiting his second coming. He has come for you and now it is time to rejoice in his kingdom. I love you and I will watch over your beautiful family just as you watched over mine.

Mayra,
Te extraño mucho…Caracola…Que Dios ilumine tu camino y te prometo ver por tus tesoros Mayito, Paola, Lilly y tu Panzón.
Te extrañare siempre,
