This is for all that loved and had the privilege to know and be a friend of Norma. You graced us all when you were here in life with us. Now you watch over us from above in Heaven with that beautiful smile and sparkle in your eyes. It is always the most heartbreaking feeling in life to loose a loved one, but remembering times shared with you help get us through.

Susie for you my dear, My most deep felt condolences still go out to you. Please know you are thought of often and prayers are always with you and the family. I understand you have lost another sister. May God always be with you and keep you strong. If I can do anything for you at all please reach out to me. Even if it's just to share memories of Norma.

Norma, hey there!!! Some time has passed and now I can leave you with words of gratitude. I was one of the lucky few to see you and embrace you at a local event. As soon as I saw your unique shadow standing in the entrance, I knew I was in the right place supporting a friend. Then to see you was a true blessing. U looked well that day. We talked, we laughed, we smiled. But that conversation started like so many others, u smiling, us mentioning Laila, and you mentioning how proud you were of us, all of us. You radiated when we mentioned Laila every single time, but u never failed to mention your pride for all of us. You always, always had such kind words.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your acceptance into your family. From the moment Laila introduced me to all of you, I have to express that it takes a lot of understanding from each individual to accept ne the way your family did. For this, I as m truly grateful.
I know that you have transcended to a higher plane and will always be a protector of your family. I ask that you keep everyone under your guardian eye and please be there standing strong as you alwaya did.
Love you Norma. Thank you much for being part of my life. See you again someday. :-)

Norma your passing was so sudden and unexpected. I think of you every day and pray that you are in a happy place without pain or worries. I was your client but quickly we became friends. I still have a voice mail on my cell from you and I treasure it so much. In that voice mail you were reminding me to trust in the Lord and to always remember God first. I am trying to figure out how to keep that message on my phone forever. I went through a terrible time this summer and you were there for me. I still remember the last time you did my hair on September 16th. We laughed so hard because we were remembering all the silly things I had gotten myself into in your shop. I can't believe you are gone, just like that. It's crazy but I actually went to your shop about a week after you died, it was empty, with trash cans full of some of your things....I could not believe it. I guess I really thought I was going to find you there. Norma, thank you for your friendship, thank you for your kindness, thank you for always reminding me to trust in God.
You deserve to be in peace, without the pain you always suffered from, without the worries and problems that came with your shop. I feel so empty when I think of you, I will miss you very much my friend. Rest in peace Norma.

I was so saddened to hear of Norma's passing. I just heard today and a piece of my heart is missing now. If you had the honor of knowing Norma you were blessed. She always made you feel good about yourself whenever you were around her. I remember the first time I met her was when we were in High school standing outside the Homemaking class at Ysleta High School and she became a friend since then. Norma, I will miss your big smile and your big laugh and your kind words.
My most sincere condolences to the Silex family. she will truly be missed. Susie and Mandis, I love you guys.

Norma we met at Ysleta High School and thru ran into each other thru the decades. I was surprised of your passing, but May GOD bless you and your family and also keep you at his side. We had sometimes in high school that I will treasure for ever. Time has passed so fast that we take for granted. I will miss you and everyone else who knew you during our youth in the valley. I myself is a true INDIAN from Ysleta, "Once an Indian, always Indian!" Live in Spirit with our Lord and watch over all of us who Loved you.
