Ofelia Whitman Obituary
OFELIA M. WHITMAN, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008. Mrs. Whitman was a lifelong resident of El Paso and attended Lydia Patterson Institute. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Whitman. She is now in Heaven with her soul mate. She is survived by her sons, Billy (Barbara) and Jerry (Ceci) Whitman. Grandchildren, Jennifer Alvarado, Melissa, Tina and Robert Whitman. Other survivors include her brother, Hector Macias and her sisters, Eva Vera and Dolores Macias. Visitation for Mrs. Whitman will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Vigil Service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral. Members of the family will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Whitman Family,
I was very saddened to hear of my Nina's passing. I will always remember her as a lady of class and beauty. Her wonderful joyful spirit was always uplifting and I enjoyed my visits with her very much. My most sincerest condolence. I can see her now with my Nino all dressed up in her favorite dress and jewelry dancing away!
