PAUL TIMS Obituary

PAUL WAYNE TIMS, age 60, resident of Clint, TX, born April 18, 1952 in Pecos, TX passed from this earth in an automobile accident, January 7, 2013 in El Paso, TX. Graduated from Ysleta High, All-district quarterback voted "Brave" in senior year. Graduate of UTEP; Employed by Diversified Interiors. He loved bull riding, golfing and bass fishing. Paul was preceded in death by his dad Roy Tims and survived by his mother Doris (Smith) Tims. Paul is survived by his son, Jason, wife Kayme, grandchildren Gemma and Stoney (Del Rio), daughter Pamela, grandson Cooper (Clint), ex-wife Linda Tims (Lubbock), sister Pat Rudd (San Antonio), brother John Tims, wife Sandra (El Paso and Denver), numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and special friend Yvette Valenzuela. Visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Prayer Service at 5 p.m. Services under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 1060 Carolina Drive 598-3332

I light this candle for you Mr. Tims, knowing it will never die. You we're like a father to me and for that I will always be truly thankful. I will always remember you as a compassionate, brilliant and just a damn funny cowboy. I've never met a man quite like you, and I know I never will. Continue to watch over us, and guide us. Living a block away from Paul and John back in the 60's, we always had alot of fun while growing up. Recess at Ascarate School, meant playing with all your friends and hoping that if teams were picked ...that you were on Pauls team. There were many bike rides, fishing trips to Ascarate Lake, tether ball, football etc., just great times as a kid growing up in the lower valley. Paul will be missed but never forgotten. I wish I could have met him as an adult, I am sure we could have had many a great laugh. Hopefully he would have forgotten the broken wrist that John and I ..gave him back in the 7th or 8th grade...I will say with a cast on his wrist he was a great Tether Ball player...

I remember Paul as a young man, working at the El Paso Trap and Skeet Club for spending money. Our Dad's worked together at Ft. Bliss. Heartfelt prayers to Doris and to all of Paul's family.. May God guide you and give you comfort in your time of grief.
