Pauline Buckley Obituary

Pauline Turlington Buckley died June 1, 2009 in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry W. Buckley. They were married for sixty years. They moved to El Paso in 1954 where they enjoyed every minute of life. Her life was very rich with friends and family who loved her and saw her through the last days of her life. She adored her grandsons, friends, traveling, her home, playing the organ, watching reruns of Laurence Welk and the view from Coronado Country Club. She often commented she had been very fortunate to live such a full and exciting life. She was smart, sassy, talented and eloquent all at the same time. She is survived by her daughter Karen Rumage and husband Ed Rumage of Jacksboro,Texas, grandsons, Will Rumage and wife Brittni of Celina, Texas, and Blain Rumage and his wife Shalie of Decautur,Texas, great-grandchildren, Cash Addison Rumage, Stone McCalister Rumage, and Reese Elizabeth Rumage, as well as many friends and neighbors. Also included as family were her caregivers Celia Levya and Rita Dominguez, who have been with her the past ten years. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Ft. Worth, TX 76107. The family requests that donations be made to the El Paso YMCA 808 Montana, El Paso 79902 or Camp Sweeney, P.O. Box 918, Gainesville, Texas 76240 or a charity of your choice. Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery in Ft. Worth, TX. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912.

Dear Karen - today is June 8 and I just heard the news - I am so sad!! - as you know, your Mom and Dad were my "El Paso Folks" since I moved to EP in '74 - I have so many wonderful memories with Harry and Polly - holidays together, trips all over the world - plus developing a very special friendship with you and your family!! - your Mom and Dad had a very positive influence on me over the years!! - I miss her already! - Love from Alice Gordon, Billings, MT
