Rosemarie Maito Obituary
El Paso - On January 17, 2021 Rosemarie Maito of El Paso, TX Peacefully passed away and went Home to Heaven to be with her Lord.
Rosemarie was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on November 15, 1930, to James Bartlett and Mary Ellen Richardson.
On November 14, 1959 Rosemarie married the love of her life, Gabriel Maito. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Gabriel.
Rosemarie is survived by her two children, Gabby Altheide (Rick) of El Paso and Michael Maito (Jeri) of humble, TX, as well as 5 grandchildren, Rachael Clark, Stefan Altheide, Hannah St. Pierre, Brianne Maito and Matthew Maito; Along with 6 Grandchildren: Will, Preston, Charlotte, Caroline, August and her namesake Rose. She is also survived by her only sibling, her sister Shirley Pruett(James)
After marriage in Albuquerque, NM, Rose and Gabe moved to El Paso in 1962 to start their family while she continued her career in banking. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for more than 50 years and shared great friendships throughout her community. Her love for the lord gave her opportunity to serve in her church as a member and president of women's Ministries for the West Texas Assemblies of God. Rose also had a deep desire to represent her political views with the west El Paso Republican chapter where she was an active member and board member.
Family was her passion and Rose loved us all to the fullest. She continued her Mother's legacy and prayed for us all daily that the lord will forever be in our presence. She was our faithful prayer warrior.
Rose was a wonderful, Daughter , Sister, Wife , mom grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. All who knew her loved her.
Visitation/ Viewing will be from 1:00 pm -4:00pm Saturday, January 23, 2021, at sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass with a Funeral Service from 2:00pm- 3:00pm.
Committal Service will be on Monday at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
