FREDERICK RYNEARSON

FREDERICK RYNEARSON Frederick Lynn Rynearson (Ryno), age 86, of Alexandria, IN passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Alexandria Care Center. He was born in Bell, CA on January 30, 1937, to the late Thomas and Ethel (Miller) Rynearson. In 1941, the family moved to Salt Lake City, UT where Fred spent most of his time growing up. After graduating from West High School, he served as an Airman in the Air National Guard/US Air Force Reserves, from 1954 to 1962. While serving, Fred also worked for Morton Salt Company in Saltair, UT from 1957-1962. Fred attended Air Force training school at Fort L.E. Warren AFB Wyoming where he graduated as an honor student as a Communication Center Specialist. He also obtained his aircraft, single engine certification and was an avid private aircraft pilot. Fred began working for the Federal Aviation Administration in 1962 as an Air Traffic Controller in Utah then was transferred to California where he stayed until he retired in 1980. After retiring from the FAA, Fred took on entrepreneurship and started his own headset and hearing aid business. Fred loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them whenever possible. He also loved to read and watch TV, primarily anything to do with aviation, history and especially WWII. Fred is survived by his loving family; four daughters, Debra Maynard of TX, Valerie Lloyd of VA, Kerri (John) Norris of IN, and Kristi (Matthew) Malcolm of FL; two sons, Martin (Annette) Rynearson of TN and Ned Rynearson of FL; one brother, Gary (Colleen) Rynearson; several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his son, Scott Frederick Rynearson; brother, Thomas M Rynearson; grandson, William "Billy" Rynearson. The family would like to give special thanks to Bethany Pointe Health Campus as well as the Alexandria Care Center/Health & Rehabilitation for their thoughtfulness in caring for Fred. Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. Funeral service celebrating Fred's life will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Scott Blaylock officiating. Burial will be scheduled next week at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
