On May 20, 1974, he was united in marriage to Judy Ann Williams and he was a very loving and caring dad to her three sons. This past year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Danny lived most of his life in St. Clair, Missouri. He was a Christian and member of Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair. Fall was his favorite time of the year, and he enjoyed traveling to view the fall foliage. In the spring he would mushroom hunt and had found many through the years. He enjoyed making baskets and learned the trade from Harvey Hafley on Indian Creek. He also enjoyed hunting deer and turkey, and when he had his beagles, he would hunt rabbits. Danny enjoyed traveling to find covered bridges and going up in lighthouses until he no longer could. He was an avid reader who enjoyed reading Louis L?amour westerns and going to the movies. What meant most to him was time spent with family and friends. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs.
