Fred Hare Jr. Obituary

Fred Daniel Hare Jr., known to most as Danny, and affectionately called Rabbit by some of his friends, 61, St. Clair, departed this life Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at his cabin on the river.

Danny was born in 1954, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Fred Daniel Hare Sr. and wife Theresa Olive. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have one daughter.

Danny was a Christian, believing in the Lord as his Savior. He lived in St. Clair throughout most of his life and was a graduate of St. Clair High School. After graduating, he began his 33-year career with Chrysler Daimler Corporation, Fenton, and remained with the company until he retired. He also was a retiree of United Auto Workers, Local 136, Fenton. Danny was very patriotic and a member of Sons of the Legion, Post 347, an associate member of VFW Post 2482, and member of St. Clair Elks Lodge 2651, all in St. Clair. He enjoyed the fellowship of his many friends at the posts and Elks Lodge. Fishing was his favorite pastime, as was spending time on the river and enjoying being outdoors. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his daughter, and Sheila and her family.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Lisa Henderson, Ballwin; two siblings, Sheila Mesey and husband Rocky, St. Clair, and James Hare, Evansville, Ind.; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Theresa Hare.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Jim Watson officiating.

Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair.

Arrangements were in care of Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
