John Monson Obituary
Tim, son of John Monson and wife Eva Lou, nee Wallis, was born Aug. 11, 1954, in St. Louis. As a young man, he was united in marriage and blessed to have one daughter.
Tim was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career, he was a firefighter and paramedic for about 35 years, retiring from West County EMS. He was a proud union member of AFL-CIO for many years. Tim loved to go camping, hiking, canoing, and whitewater rafting. He also loved riding his four-wheeler and tending to his vegetable garden. Tim enjoyed playing the guitar, going to music festivals, and was an avid reader. His daughter and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and the many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Melissa Monson and fiance Brandon Lindemann, St. Clair; his brothers, Marty Monson and wife Jill, Bella Villa, and Rick Laurrell and wife Jean, St. Clair; his grandchildren, Audrey Voelkerding and Elora Lindemann; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; cousins; and many friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Monson.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Ben Kingston officiating.
A private committal will take place at a later date.
The Monson family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.

I met Tim threw my brother in law Marty and sister Jill. You have my sympathy at loss of Tim. He was much too young to leave. But I know he was loved. That´s a life well lived. Peace and love to all those who must go on without him.
