Mary Hotsenpiller Obituary

Mary Margaret Hotsenpiller (nee Kammerich), 84, Union, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Creve Coeur.

Mary was born May 21, 1940, in Tipton, Missouri, to Victor and Lilly (nee Hendricks) Kammerich.

Mary grew up in the Tipton area and graduated from Tipton High School. She was united in marriage to George M. Hotsenpiller in 1959 in Tipton. The couple made their home in Florissant, Missouri, and their marriage was blessed with two sons. Mary worked as the manager of a senior citizen apartment complex in St. Louis for over 25 years. She retired in 2003 and the couple moved to Union. Mary enjoyed spending time playing bingo with friends at the Pacific Eagles Hall and taking trips to the casino.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, George M. Hotsenpiller Jr.; one son, Paul Hotsenpiller; her parents, Victor Kammerich and Lilly Petree; parents-in-law, George Hotsenpiller Sr. and Olga Hotsenpiller (nee Bremer); and her siblings: Jimmielee Kammerich, Tommy Kammerich, and Joyce Szenkum.

She is survived by one son, Ken Hotsenpiller and wife Deanna, St. Clair; five grandchildren: Sarah Hotsenpiller, Emily Hotsenpiller, Corey Hotsenpiller, Marrisa Lanham (Josh), and Brendan Ryan; two great-grandchildren: Bearett Lanham and Layne Lanham; one sister, Sue Wolfe and husband Tony, Tipton; one brother, Leo Edward Petree and wife Vicky, Sedalia; along with other relatives and dear friends.

There are no services planned at this time.

The Hotsenpiller family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Union.
