Maynard W. Heman

Maynard W. Heman, 94, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022.

Maynard lived his entire life in the Femme Osage Valley area. He grew up farming and continued that profession until he moved into a nursing facility at the age of 90. Maynard loved farming, had no desire for travel, but after a few trips, he still claimed his most scenic view was his cornfield across the road from his front porch. Maynard was a lifelong member of Femme Osage United Church of Christ and trusted in the Lord for all things

He raised three daughters on his farm and enjoyed teaching them all the facets of country living. Denise Stewart (Gary), Karen LaRue (Skip) and Lynette Heman will forever be grateful for the humility and standards Maynard instilled in them.

He is survived by his three daughters, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Maynard was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Clara Heman, nee Laumeier; two sisters, Darlene Bade and Margie Heman; two wives, Ida Mae, nee Bollman, and Ruth, nee Struckhoff; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, from 10-11 a.m. at Femme Osage United Church of Christ, 4360 Cappeln Osage Road, Augusta, MO 63332. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery.
