Randy Nordman Obituary

Randy J. Nordman, 49, New Florence, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at his home.

He was born June 8, 1966, in St. Louis, the son of Robert "Bob" Nordman and wife Vera J., nee Kelley. Randy attended Hazelwood West High School and graduated from North County Tech. He was married to Julie Lenn Nordman for eight wonderful years.

Randy worked for Ron Buckley Trucking and was the shop manager for Welker-Young Machine for 31 years. He also was the owner of Empire of Dirt RC (remote control) Park and Campground LLC. Randy greatly enjoyed serving as the flagman at the Montgomery Motor Sports Park in New Florence. He and his wife, Julie, were in the process of starting their own RC race track business. Randy took great pride in watching people race their cars around his track and he deeply cared for everyone in the RC community, especially the guys and gals for Empire of Dirt Racers.

He was an avid outdoorsman and had an unbelievable love for animals, especially dogs and cats. Randy enjoyed model railroad trains, riding dirt bikes and Harleys. He valued talking to the locals about Farmall tractors and was a "jack of all trades," who would do anything for anyone. Randy enjoyed life, family members and many friends, and was always there to brighten the lives of others. He will forever be remembered.

Randy was the beloved husband of Julie Nordman, New Florence. He is survived by his parents, Robert "Bob" and Vera J. Nordman, Warrenton; one daughter, Tasha Lawson, O'Fallon; two stepsons, Jason Jones, Silex, and Jeremy (Jayme) Jones, Moscow Mills; two brothers, Tim Nordman, St. Charles, and Bryant Nordman, Troy; two sisters, Vicki (Rick) Skiles, O'Fallon, and Gail (Jim) Bias, Chapman, Kan.; five grandchildren, Genie, Tessa, Keira, Jax and Jordyn; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
