Shawn Mayall Obituary

Shawn Dean Mayall, 52, Washington, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, following ongoing complications related to Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

He was born June 18, 1973, in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Kevin Mayall and Rhonda (Barry) Wrestler. On Sept. 19, 2003, he was united in marriage to Victoria (Vicki) Statzel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Shawn graduated from Washington Senior High School, Washington, Missouri in 1992 and later attended East Central College in Union, where he earned his degree in Business.

At an early age, Shawn began working alongside his father, Kevin, in the maintenance and construction fields. Their business continued to flourish, and they founded S-K Contractors, Inc. in 1987. Shawn always had an entrepreneurial spirit, had a keen eye for business opportunities, and formed many companies over the years. Most recently, Shawn and Vicki owned and operated Lakeside Constructors, LLC along with additional entities at the Lake of the Ozarks. They also own and operate Elijah McLean's Event Venue and Inn, Washington.

Shawn held memberships at the Hummingbird Club and Elks Lodge #1559, both of Washington. He was a Washington Town and Country Fair Board Member and volunteer for Washington Downtown, Inc. He was a faithful member of First Christian Church of Washington.

Shawn had many loves in life. Above all, his pride and joy were his family and friends. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always making others laugh. His laugh was infectious, and he was an overwhelmingly generous person to all around him. He enjoyed boating, traveling, had a passion for classic cars, and was always on the hunt for the next ?big? deal. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father Kevin Mayall, his grandparents Willis and Margaret Mayall, Norma Brockley, Floyd Barry, mother-in-law Linda Statzel, brother-in-law David Nystrom, and cousins Melissa Malott, Natasha Kukla, and John Ross Kukla.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; one son, Riley Mayall and significant other Ariana Myers; one daughter, Madison Mayall and fiance Jakob Robertson, all of Washington; his mother, Rhonda Wrestler and husband Terry, Macomb, Illinois; step-mother, Bernie Mayall, Washington; father-in-law Butch Statzel, Washington; two sisters Krissa Nystrom, Pekin, Illinois and Niki Pataky and husband Matt, Washington; one brother, Wes O'Hern and wife Julie, Washington; three step-sisters: Lori Farris, Union, Krisi Epps and husband Douglas, Pickerington, Ohio, and Jami Theodosiou and husband Jason, St. Louis; sister-in-law, Julie Statzel, Washington; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial visitation was held from 10-11 a.m., Friday, June 27, at First Christian Church of Washington. A memorial service followed at 11 a.m., Friday at the church. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church of Washington.
