Stefanie DeAnda Obituary

Stefanie Marie DeAnda (nee Struckhoff), 47, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in St. Louis.

Stefanie was born Aug. 11, 1977, in Creve Coeur, Missouri, to Robert "Bob" and Connie (nee Feldmann) Struckhoff.

Stefanie grew up in Augusta, Missouri, where she attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Grade School. She graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington in 1995 and continued her education at East Central College in Union. Stefanie transferred to Southeast Missouri State University to study marine biology and completed a Bachelor of Science degree at SEMO. After completing her education, Stefanie moved to North Carolina to pursue a career in marine biology. While living in North Carolina, she went to school to become an ultrasound technologist. Stefanie moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to begin her career as an ultrasound technologist. While living in Colorado Springs, she met the love of her life, Joe DeAnda.

Stefanie was united in marriage to Joe DeAnda on Oct. 30, 2020, in Black Forest, Colorado. The couple initially made their home in Colorado Springs and moved to the Struckhoff family farm in Augusta, Missouri, a short time later. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Joseph "J.C." DeAnda.

Stefanie loved her career as an ultrasound technologist and was most recently employed at BJC Progress West Hospital. Above all, Stefanie loved her family and loved being a wife and mother. When she wasn't working, Stefanie dedicated her life to caring for her family and watching her son succeed at swimming and gymnastics. Stefanie was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Augusta. She will be remembered by many as a fun-loving, amazing person, a devoted wife, and a loving mother.

Stefanie was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Struckhoff, and her grandparents, Felix and Brigitta Stuckhoff, and Cornelius and Mary Feldmann.

I taught Stephanie at St. Vincent's, Dutzow, in the late 1980s. I remember her as an excellent student, so full of joy and such a kind spirit. Her smile was infectious. She was a pleasure to know and to teach. I am deeply sorry for your loss of her presence as a mother, wife, and sibling. Your family will be in my prayers.
