Marie Borbone Obituary
Marie was born in Worcester to Joseph and Barbara Borbone. She graduated from Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing and practiced nursing for 44 years. To her, it was not just a career, it was who she was.
Marie was also an ardent baseball fan. Team names did not matter as much as her love of the game. While she followed many sports, it was her love of baseball that brought her much joy.
Marie leaves her partner of 21 years, Kathleen M. Cullen. She leaves her brother, Joseph Borbone (Sandra) of Worcester Mass., and four nephews, Joshua, Adam, Jay and Jon. She also leaves her sister in law, DorothyAnn Borbone. Marie was predeceased by her parents and oldest brother James V. Borbone.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery on September 17, 2021, from 4-5 p.m. The service will begin at 5 p.m., at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
We request that face coverings be worn so that we can protect each other. If you do not have one it will be provided to you at the door.
In lieu of flowers and donations, Marie has requested that if you are not a kidney donor, please become one. If you can't be a donor, please encourage your family and friends to do so.

Blessings and condolences to all family and friends...I met Ace in nursing school. She was a year ahead of me, she became my mentor and a wonderful friend to both Jim and me. I am so so sorry for your loss. Marie was such a funny and wonderful soul. We shared so many laughs first at Holy Name then together working at UMASS. She was always so happy and always made you feel good about everything. She will be missed.

Joe and Family and Kathleen,
Marie and I were classmates in high school and became fast friends. We enjoyed many good times together at St. Stephen´s and our one year at Holy Name. Marie certainly did love sports!! She will be missed by those she touched with her heart. Rest In Peace my friend. Andrea
