Roger Armfield Obituary

Roger Kenneth (Omar) Armfield, 79, lost his battle with cancer on Friday, April 13, 2018.

Roger was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Lois and Kenneth Armfield.

After graduating high school, Roger went on to serve his Country in the United States Navy, where he traveled the world. He was the husband of Christy Armfield with whom he shared 23 years together. Roger was co-owner of Armfield Tent and Rental of Grandview, Missouri, until his retirement, at which time he moved to Florida permanently to ride motorcycles, golf and fish. Roger was A Master Mason, a lifetime member of ABATE, and HOG. Roger will be remembered for his contagious smile and big heart.

He is survived by his wife, Christy (nee Wickham) Armfield; brothers, Peter Armfield (Christine) and Steve Armfield (Lynn); sister, Ginger Anderson; as well as his children, Michelle McNeil (Jason), Roger Armfield (Elizabeth), Jackie Booker (Robbie), Bill Armfield (Amy), Courtney Brackett (Larry), and Stevan Brackett; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as a large circle of friends that considered Omar family.

There will be a celebration of life at Gatorz Bar and Grill in Port Charlotte on Friday, May 4 at 5:30 p.m.
