Charles Jones Obituary
Charles Edward Jones, age 87, of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 7, 2021 at First Baptist Church Enterprise with Rev. John McCrummen and Dr. Ben Bowden officiating. A private burial will be held at Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Wiregrass Wounded Veterans or Enterprise Lions Club, both to PO Box 310598, Enterprise, AL 36331. Masks must be worn and social distancing must be practiced.
Charles graduated from Troy University. He served in the United States Air Force and after his tour in the military began working in the banking industry in Florida in 1959 and began working at The Citizens Bank in Enterprise in 1963 until the present.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a selfless person who contributed to the Enterprise community and was instrumental in helping people grow and be successful.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Jones Beck and Dorothy Jones Kennedy and a step-son, Jeff Douglas.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara "Bobbi" Jones; two sons, Todd A. Jones; Christopher C. Jones; daughter, Shannon Weber (Andy) all of Enterprise, AL; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, MZ Jones, Jr., Coffee Springs, AL.
