Lieutenant Colonel Retired, US Army, Charles Glenn Reeder, age 90, a resident of Jack, AL went home to be with the Lord at 4PM, Monday, 17 May, 2021. Visitation will be 5PM to 7PM, Friday, 21 May, 2021 at the Dillard Funeral Home, 6549 US Highway 231, Brundidge, AL, 36010. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 22 May, 2021 at 1:00PM at Roeton Baptist Church, 6320 County Road 110, Brundidge AL, 36010 with Chaplain Corey Reeder, his grandson, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

LTC Reeder is survived by his; daughter, Gay Reeder Curtis and son-in-law Dan Curtis; son, Lieutenant Colonel Steve Reeder, US Air Force, Retired and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lynn Killingsworth Reeder; 4 Grandchildren, Mr. Adam Reeder, Superintendent, Beltline Railroad, Norfolk VA, Chaplain Corey Reeder, Captain, US Army, Captain Blake Reeder, US Army Ready Reserve and Ms. Anna Glenn Curtis; 10 great-grandchildren: Adam's and Brooke's children (Amelia, Abigail) Corey's and Jillian's children (Evelynn, Ellie, Ruthie, Sammy, JoJo) and Blake and Bethany's children (Gideon, Audrey, Maddie).

LTC Reeder is a Purple Heart recipient. He served our grateful nation for twenty-three years, with three combat tours spanning the Korean and Vietnam theaters, as well as serving as civilian war-planner for both Gulf Wars, Panama, Operation Just Cause and multiple major deployments and humanitarian/disaster relief campaigns. He served his community on the board of trustees for the South Alabama Electric Cooperative. He served his Lord as both Gideon and as a deacon at Roeton Baptist Church for over forty-years. He taught Sunday school, led music and financially supported countless local and international missions.

LTC Reeder was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Eloise E. Reeder, his brothers; George and Harold Reeder and his parents, Hubert and Sallie Reeder.
