Juanita Gardner Obituary
Juanita Dawn Sims Gardner, 83, of Panama City and formerly of Enterprise, AL passed away November 7, 2021.
Dawn was born January 26, 1938 in Montgomery, AL to Leon and Verma (Wadsworth) Sims and moved to Panama City in 2016 coming from Enterprise.
She was employed with Cairns Field Ft. Rucker, AL for over 36 years where she managed the Helicopter Training Facility personnel office.
Dawn's passion was gardening and she also enjoyed sewing and cross-stitch. Church life was also very important to her. She was a former member of College Avenue Church of Christ in Enterprise and a current member of Jenks Avenue Church of Christ in Panama City.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Sims and a cousin, Ann Uhrig.
Dawn is survived by her daughter, Brandi Peterson and her husband Matthew Peterson of Panama City; her grandchildren, Vangard and Berkley Peterson of Panama City; her cousin, Pat Uhrig of Enterprise and his children, Sandra Carmichael of Enterprise and Tiffany Walden of Pace, FL and their children, Heather Carmichael, Finley Walden and Eddie Walden.
Memorial services Celebrating Dawn's life will take place 10 am Saturday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Panama City.
