Ricky Glen Newsome, of Enterprise, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family. He was 62.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 5:00pm and continuing until service time.

Ricky was born December 10, 1958 in Dothan, Alabama to Glen Newsome and Martha Yeomans Hammond. He served his country in the Alabama National Guard and also was General Forman at Utility Trailer in Enterprise, Alabama. Ricky had many passions in life some of which included the outdoors and riding motorcycles where he was a member of the Kudzu Kruisers. His greatest passion of all was taking vacations in the mountains with his beautiful and loving wife of 40 years. In addition to his mother; three sisters, Deborah Newsome, Sherri Acreman, Samantha Turner; step father, A.I. Hammond; two mother-in-laws, Carol Bennington Kiel, Jane Wood Kiel, numerous aunts and uncles all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Newsome; three children: Ricky Newsome Jr. (Taylea), Anthony Newsome (Ashley), Cassandra Morrison (Chris); father, Samuel Glen; father -in-law Dale Kiel; two brothers, Samuel Paul Newsome, Edward Osbourn Newsome; one sister, Theresa Kelly (Pat); ten grandchildren; two special aunts, Vonnie Brewer, Donnie Berry; as well as aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews.
