Jack Lee Obituary

Jack R. Lee, 65, of Littleton, Colorado, unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at his home. Jack was born in St. Paul, Nebraska to Francis and Eleanor (Dembowski) Lee.

Jack Lee served as a Helicopter Crew Chief in the Vietnam War. He served two tours of duty and both he and his family were very proud of his service to our country. He was a General Contractor for 40+ years, building and remodeling many beautiful homes in Colorado.

In his earlier years he worked with the ground crew at Hidden Valley Ski Area in Estes Park Colorado, building and maintaining the infrastructure. It was there that he fell in love with and was later married to, the mother of his children, Michelle Acers for many years.

He loved the outdoors, hiking, skiing, sailing, and horseback riding. He had an amazing sense of humor, and there was nothing he loved more than going on a camping trip with his children, or heading to the beach for a family vacation.

He was a wonderful and caring father and he is survived by his son; Cameron Lee of Littleton, CO, and his daughter; Shannon Burton and her husband David of Centennial, CO, and three grandsons; Shaun, Tyler, and Blake. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, and wonderful cousins in Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Francis and Eleanor Lee, his brother Frank Lee, and sisters Phyllis (Lee) Davis and Patricia (Lee) Ewers.

A ceremony for Jack Lee will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado on Wednesday, June 18 at 1 PM. There he will receive full honors for his service to our country.
The family will also host a 'celebration of life' memorial and picnic in the Rocky Mountain National Park on Thursday at 11 am. (Please contact the family for details and location.)
