Amy Askey Obituary

Amy M. Askey Amy M. Askey, age 85 of Erie, died Monday, July 21, 2008. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts March 17, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Herbert E. and Amy Campbell MacCombie. She worked for many years as the owner of Mack Truck Sales of Erie, Inc. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Presque Isle Chapter and a Mayflower decendent. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Askey in 1985 and two brothers, John A. and Herbert E. MacCombie Jr. Survivors include her beloved friend Bernard C. Dombrowski, three children, Peter J. Askey and his wife Jo Ann of North East, Judith E. Askey of Boston, Mass. and Marilyn Beebe and her husband Dennis of St. Louis, Mo. She is further survived by a grandson, Peter J. Askey, Jr. and his wife Kym of Cambridge Springs, Pa. and two great granddaughters, Amelia and Acadia Askey also of Cambridge Springs. Further survived by a sister, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Fietsam of Harbor Beach, Michigan , as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, from 2:00 till 4:00 and 7:00 till 9:00 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street Erie, Pa. and are invited to services there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Internment in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
