As a college student working at Erie G.E. in the summer of 1953, I worked a bit with Chuck and played on the MECWIM Lab softball team with him. He was about eight years older than me and already had family, but he was kind and very friendly to me, and I enjoyed knowing him. May Chuck rest in eternal peace, and may God grant peace to all his family.

So many happy memories of a wonderful man who enriched my childhood! The 2-family picnics at the beach Sunday after church, and later the ski-boat at Beach 11, rides in the coral Wrangler, sleepovers with Silver Dollar pancakes on Sat. mornings, summer vacations together (I was "Sandy Bottom" for way too many year!), even my bridal shower. He was smiling, joking, singing - such a challenge and an inspiration to me, through it all. And always a hug, and a grin over all these later years. I'm so grateful to have been a part of your family - and you all mine! Rick, Marti, Ted, Tom, Leslie & Wendy - much love to you all!
