Connie Morgan Obituary
Connie was a 1975 graduate of East High School, then attended the Hamot School of Nursing. She had been employed with the Great Lakes Surgical and Trauma Center for over 20 years. Connie belonged to the CYS Club and was an avid bowler and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed boating, cooking and especially spending time with her family. Connie adored her grandchildren. She was a very loving and caring person.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kurt Swasing.
Survivors include her fiancé, Jim Daisley; her beloved daughters, Amanda Cruz (Javier) and Katelynn Morgan; stepdaughter, Tiffany Wilson; grandchildren, Jordan, Ava, Isaac and Jarred; two sisters, Sheryl Jones (Rick) and Kelly Swasing; one brother, Fred Swasing, Jr. (Bonnie); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Jerry Priscaro. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be designated to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.

Connie I miss you more now than ever before ! We were all suppose to be old ladies together, you , Sheryl and I . We were all gonna live together lol and go on trips and I think about all of you everyday wondering what your doing in Heaven and I hope you guys here me when I talk to you Someday I´ll see you getting sooner Love your beautiful face and thank you for being my big tiny sister , love and miss you so much but I have great memories and dreams when we´re all together.

Five years without you being here... Not a day goes by that your not thought of.. We miss you dearly I graduated from nursing school.. but I know you were with me when I crossed that stage I know you would have been so proud of me! Katelynn even let me borrow your bandage scissors I felt so honored. I even became a mom to a beautiful baby girl it breaks my heart that she will never be able to meet you but I will make sure she hears so many stories she will feel like she knows you!!! So much has changed Easter´s right around the corner and it will never be the same without your huge feast! I miss your cooking so much, I miss you. Katelynn and the boys moved you would be so proud of her she bought her first house all by herself!!! No surprise there though she was raised to be a strong independent woman just like her mama! Ahh I wish there was visiting hours up there I hope you and teddy are watching over all of us and I hope we´re all making you guys proud! Thank you Connie for playing such a huge important role in my life. You will be forever missed and always loved!

It is coming on a year of you being gone and it still doesnt seem real. The kids still talk about you every day and I still remember everything you did for our family. We miss going over for your way too big dinners. We miss the way you would make a different entree for every for every guest so everyone could have there favorite. We miss you kindness AnD your wisdom. You went so fast we feel like we didnt ha e a chance to say a proper goodbye but hopefully you are reunited with Ted and you guys are up there partying until the rest of the family catches up. We love you and miss you. You were a great mom grandmother and mother in law.

Mom I cant believe it has been almost a year... not a day hour minute or second goes by that your not on my mind and how much i miss you mom. I really miss the old days when the family would be together and making unforgettable memories. Now those memories I cherish deeply and hold them in my heart. I love you so much mom and think about you everyday. I will always tell my kids fun and happy memories I shared with you. You always put a huge smile on my kids faces when they saw you. Always was excited to go to grandma's house. You were the best woman period on this earth and I'm so blessed to of had you as my mom.

Mom I miss you so much I think of you all of the time. I cry a lot and I'm sorry this happened to you and I wish I was with you in the hospital earlier than I made it. I got from buffalo to Erie in little over an hour I tried so hard to get there to give you a kiss and a hug. You were the best mom ever to us. You always made your amazing food for us I wish I paid attention to half of what you used to cook for us. I miss your beautiful smile I miss your hugs and I miss hearing you loved me and my kids. You are such a genuine person with a lot of knowledge I would always call you for anything that I needed to know. Even if one of my kids scraped their knee I would call you I miss your voice your smell of perfume and you so much. It's hard to go on without my mom. Ava and Isaac talk about you all time. You'll never be forgotten in my house. Javier is still hurt too. I had a dream of you and I didn't want to wake up thank you for coming around for me I got the pennies you left right by your flowers and next to my makeup. I have those pennies put away they will be with me forever. Mommy I love you so much and I'm so so sorry this happened to you. You are my world mom. I can't wait to see you and be with you when it is my time. I feel your presence a lot and please don't stop it helps me a lot. I love you so much mom and I miss you more than anything. Mom im still in shock and believe this is all a very terrible nightmare i cant wake up from. Your such an amazing beautiful person inside and out. You never turned your back on your friends or family you have such a great personality you made such an impact on so many lives you have no idea. I heard so many great stories from your friends and co workers at your viewing, there wasnt a dry eye in the building. I wish i had more more answers to why God picked you to gain your wings but those anwers will remain unknown. I do know your the best grandmother to Jordan Ava Isaac and Jarred. Those children love you dearly. Jordan told me he loved you more than he loves me... I would be heartbroken if he said that about anyone else but i dont blame him at all for feeling that way. I will never amount to be the woman you were but i promise i will try. Amanda and i were very lucky to have been able to call you our MOTHER. Your a beautiful woman even on your bad days when you woke up with your hair sticking up like albert Einstein. Your going to be truly missed and never ever be forgotten. You stole another piece of my heart when you left. Please tell dad we say hi and we miss him and love him. You always made your house feel like home to me, I'm so happy for all the memories we shared an I will always hold them close to my heart. Connie and I graduated together but hadn't seen each other again only at reunions. Facebook got us together again and last summer my husband and I were invited to join them on their boat. What a nice time we had. She was a very sweet and hospitible person. We had made plans for this summer to join her and her love Jim on the boat, I will be thinking of her everytime I see the lake...see ya later Connie...say hello to Kurt for me.

The UPMC Hamot team has sufffered a huge loss this week. Connie was a positive force, always with a smile on her face and a pleasant comment to make.
