Constance M. "Connie" Zygai

1928 - 2021

Constance M. "Connie" (Cielinski) Zygai, 92, of Millcreek Township, passed away Wednesday February 10, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, December 8, 1928 the daughter of the late Chester and Virginia (Bastian) Cielinski.

Connie worked in the Payroll Dept of Amsco and later, was an LPN at Hamot Hospital for many years. She was an accomplished singer and had sung for many years at the Glenwood Park and at the East Avenue Concerts. Her dog tommy was her constant companion and their walks led to many friendships over 17 years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas D. Zygai in 2000, her son David Zygai in 2002 and her dog Tommy.

Connie will be sadly missed by her niece, Laura Yochim (Walt) of Millcreek Township, and their son, Brian Yochim (Tara) and their daughter Mia, daughter-in-law Cindy Zygai of Oregon and her dear friend, Cheryl Snyder.

No calling hours will be observed. Private services for the family will be held at their convenience. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Emmaus Ministries, 218 East 11th St., Erie, PA 16503. Brugger Funeral Home & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd., are handling arrangements.
