Cora J. Chase-Teed

Cora J. Teed, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Erie.

Cora was born in Albion, Pa. on April 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Neal A. and Florence Mae (Youngs) Craig. She worked for the Girard Model Works, formerly known as Marx Toys, and was a member of the Federated Church in East Springfield where she was a member of the Golden Circle. She enjoyed the outdoors with her gardening and mowing the lawn on her tractor and she had a strong willingness to pitch in to help others.

Cora was preceded in death by her first husband, John G. Chase who passed away on December 3, 1991 and two sisters; Ora Tinker and Esther Somerville and a brother; Sam Craig.

She is survived by her husband, George R. Teed and four children; John Robert Chase (Cindy) of Woodbridge, Va.; Richard N. Chase of Youngstown, Ohio; her daughter, Terry Warren (Tim) of Albion, Pa., and Kenneth Chase (Carla) also of Albion, Pa. her sister, Clara Merill of Menor, Ohio and many step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held at the Federated Church on Main Street, East Springfield, Pa. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastors Allan Thorpe of the Albion Assembly of God Church and George Walker of the Kidders Corners Church, officiating. She will be laid to rest in Spring Cemetery, Springboro, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2810 W. 21st Street. Erie, PA 16506. Arrangements are being handled by the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, East Springfield, Pa.
