Eugene Snyder Obituary
He was born May 24, 1946 in Erie, a son of the late Clifford and Helen (Wolf) Snyder.
Eugene was a member of the Wattsburg Hose Company, CYS Club in Erie and the UAW Local #714.
He enjoyed working on cars, watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Kevin Harvick, and he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Johnny West, and a brother, Phil Snyder.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jeanne (Fehr) Snyder, whom he married November 14, 1987, four children, Wendy Barnes (Marc) of Cranesville, Brian Murphy (Marcy) of Wattsburg, Heather Snyder (Jay) of Fairview, Michael Snyder (Susan) of Guys Mills, Pa., and a brother, Dennis Snyder of Indiana, Pa. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
All services will be held privately by the family. Memorials may be made in honor of Gene to Wattsburg Hose Company, 14415 Main Street, Wattsburg, PA 16442, or to Albion Volunteer Fire Department, 19 Smock Ave., Albion, PA 16401. The Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, is handling the funeral arrangements.

I knew Gene as a coworker friend and fellow member of the Wattsburg Hose Company. One of his best friends was my father they worked for years together at Smith Meter. He will be missed .
