Frank Lipinski Obituary

Frank J. Lipinski Frank J. Lipinski, 82 of Erie died Saturday September 8, 2007 at. St. Mary's Home East. He was born in Erie, October 18, 1924 son of the late Simon and Hedwig Stypa Lipinski. Frank graduated from Harborcreek High School in 1943. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. He worked at American Sterilizer Co. now Steris Corp. for 30 years retiring in 1989. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where he was an usher and member of the Men's Council, also a life member of Polish Falcon's Nest 123, East Erie Turners and American Legion, Post 771. He was preceded in death by sisters Josephine Wochner, and Mary Zoltowski and brothers Paul and Henry Lipinski. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Loretta Waskiewicz Lipinski, a daughter Karen Wagner and Husband Rich, a son Kevin Lipinski and his wife Lynn , two grandchildren, Benjamin and Noelle Lipinski, two brothers, Stanley Lipinski and wife Jane, John Lipinski and wife Josephine, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc. 2101 Ash St. Monday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Burial wll be at Calvary Cemetery.
