Geraldine Pepicello Obituary

Geraldine "Gerry" Bliley Pepicello, age 93, peacefully departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on October 20, 2014. Gerry was born on May 7, 1921, graduated from Academy High School, and resided in Harborcreek nearly her entire life, most recently at Barnabas Court.

Gerry worked at Lord Corporation during World War II, and upon her marriage to Joseph, she devoted her life to being a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Every year during grape-tying season, Gerry could always be found working side-by-side with her husband in the grape vineyards.

Her favorite pastimes were working in her flower garden, baking pies, and sewing. Gerry was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

Gerry is survived by her five children: Joseph (Jackie) Pepicello , Robert (Annette) Pepicello , all of Harborcreek; Lucy (Wayne) Scott of Columbia, South Carolina; Roger Pepicello of Harborcreek; and Susan (Joseph) Kraft of Erie. She is further survived by her four beloved grandchildren: Heather Kampine, Christopher Pepicello, Joseph Pepicello, and Melinda Fowler; three step-grandchildren, Amanda Reszkowski, Matthew Madar, and Melissa Scott; three great-grandchildren, Jack and Olivia Kampine and Morgan Fowler; and step-great-grandchildren, Fiona and Daphne Reszkowski. Gerry is also survived by her sister, Mary Shafer of Harborcreek, her brother, Jim (Josephine) Bliley of Waterford, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were very dear to her.

Friends may call at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 837 Bartlett Road, Harborcreek, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Dear Pepicello Family,
We had returned from vacation and read that your mom had passed away. After my mom and dad had each passed, she called and reminisced about the "good old days". It is too hard to locate all of you, but know that you are all in our prayers. Just think how happy she is to be with her Joe again!
