Harry Wilson Obituary

Harry Wilson Harry C. Wilson, 97, of 500 Cottage Place, Russell, Pa. died Friday morning, May 30, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born May 13, 1911 in Warren, Pa. To the late Harry J. and Mary E. Gray Wilson. He has resided in Russell since 1968 moving there from Warren. He was employed with the former National Forge Company for 37 years as a foreman in the finishing dept. retiring from there in 1973. Harry was a master carpenter and enjoyed woodworking, traveling and taking drives looking for deer and turkey. He especially enjoyed bird watching, especially the orioles. Harry was especially devoted to his family, especially his daughters. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory R.C. Church of Frewsburg, N.Y. and a former member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. Harry belonged to the former Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Warren Eagle Club. He is survived by his daughters - Linda and Cheryl Wilson both of Russell, Pa. His sonâ€" Craig Wilson and his wife, Patty of South Gate, Mich. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Monica Jerman Wilson who died June 23, 1999, one Brother - Allen F. Wilson, one Sister - Alice K. Wilson. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa. On Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Victory R.C. Church, Frewsburg, N.Y. with Rev. Fr. Robert Stolinski, Pastor, officiating assisted by Deacon Mike Lennon. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
