James Mook Obituary

James "Jimmy" Mook, Sr., age 52, of Erie and formerly of Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Erie on August 25, 1957, son of the late Robert D. and Gladys Sapper Mook. He was a Steelers Fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Charles Mook. He is survived by his sons, James Allen Mook, Jr. and his wife Ernestina of Indiana and Jacob Mook and his wife Amanda of Texas; two granddaughters, Jazlynn and Jaylynn; a brother, Duane Mook of Texas; two sisters, Beverly Behringer and her husband Gerald of Erie and Sally of Texas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th St., Erie, Pa. Send condolences at www.burtonfuneralhome.com

Jimmy was a good friend to me over the years. Life travels took us in different directions but our friendship remained strong. He was a good man with a heart full of love for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.
