Janet Anderson Stetson

1946 - 2021

Janet Anderson Stetson, 74, of North East passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Saint Vincent's Hospital. She was born on November 25, 1946 in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of the late, Dorothy (Moffitt) and Fritz Anderson.

Janet was an avid reader and would spend countless hours immersed in a good book. She loved to decorate, many a home in North East have been enhanced by her eye for color and detail. For many years, you could find her either on the golf course or at the bowling alley enjoying time with friends and family. Janet was an active member of the North East American Legion Post #105, where she served as the Auxiliary Membership Secretary for a number of years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Tim Klein; nephew, Kyle; and brother-in-law, Don Berry. Janet's beautiful smile will be sadly missed by her daughters, Shannon Bannister of Charlotte, N.C. and Abigail Stetson of Greenville, Pa.; sisters, Louisa Berry of New York, N.Y., Barb Mucciarone (Mike) of Erie, Pa.; nieces and nephews, Libby Mucciarone, Jenna Mucciarone, Nicholas Berry and Robin Berry.

Private funeral arrangements are being handled by William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, with a Celebration of Life to be held at a future date.
