Jean Marie Wojciechowski Pohl

Jean Marie Wojciechowski Pohl Jean Marie Wojciechowski Pohl, age 80, passed away peacefully at the Village at Luther Square, Tuesday September 26, 2006. She resided formerly on East 8th Street. She was born in Erie, October 15, 1925 a daughter of the late Leon and Sophie Rzodkiewicz Wojciechowski. She is survived by her children; Stephen Pohl of North East, Timothy Pohl & his wife, Linda of Millcreek, Sandra Foster and her husband, Jim of Erie, Michael Pohl & his wife, Colleen of Millcreek, Connie Kraus and her husband, Mark of Erie, seven grandchildren; Jill, Nichole, Michael, Jr., Timothy, Jr., Jonathan, Marcus and Amelia and a great-granddaughter, Kayla. She is also survived by a brother Eddie Abramoski and his wife, Pat of Buffalo, N.Y.; and a sister, Maryann Holl of Erie, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Alexander Abramoski, two sisters; Lenora Freeman and Dorothy Maciejczyk and a granddaughter, Sarah Foster. Jean was a longtime member of St. Casimir Church where she was a member of the St. Casimir Rosary Society. She worked as a Teachers Aide for the School District of the City of Erie. She retired from the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Center Happy Hearts Day Care Center. Jean was a member of the PWA of America St. Bernadette's Society, The Legion of Mary, and the St. Mark's Seminary Auxiliary. She was active in the Polish Women's Alliance where she served as Regional Secretary for several years. She enjoyed her grandchildren and was well known for mailing cards for all occasions to her family and friends. Jean loved to write letters. Friends may call at the Mark G. Razanauskas, Funeral Home, 701 East Ave., Erie, Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. where a prayer service will be conducted Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Casimir Church at 11 a.m. Interment Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
