To all McLaughlins. I am so sorry of your loss. How well I remember your Father as one of the most gentlemanly, knowledgeable, generous and humorous souls. He was so helpful to my Mother in her time of need; and after the passing of my Father and he became such an positive figure in my life. Love, Annie Pearson Nowlin

Dear Sean,
I met your parents while we attended St. Pete's together in the mid 1960's. I specifically remember having an enchanting conversation with your father in Rome in 1971 while both your family and mine were visiting. I am truly sorry for your loss. I send my deepest sympathies and my prayers for you and your entire family.

John was a fine man and a brilliant one. I have cheerful memories of chatting with him about my career plans when I was a teenaged runner at the law firm and he was one of the senior partners - he was thoughtful and considerate to everyone around him. Our Dad held him in the highest regard throughout his life, and I thoroughly understand why. God speed, John McLaughlin. We have the watch.
