Kevin McCaslin Obituary
Kevin Charles McCaslin, 54, of McKean, formerly of Edinboro and Girard, died Monday, January 18, 2016, at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie, on June 12, 1961, the son of Russell A. McCaslin and Eleanor (Otterni) Peggs.
Kevin graduated from General McLane High School in the class of 1979. He attended Edinboro University and majored in Conservation.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and walking through the woods. Kevin loved his dogs, Hunter and Sassy.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Sharp of Girard; three sons, Mathew McCaslin of Middlesex, Pa., Buxton McCaslin, and Silas McCaslin and their mother, Kim Peters McCaslin, all of Girard; three brothers, Randall McCaslin of Edinboro, Ryan McCaslin of McKean and Scott Peggs of New York; a sister, Jennifer Peggs of New York, his stepmother, Phyllis McCaslin of McKean; stepbrothers, Randal Krautter of Indiana, Greg, and Ronald Krautter of Edinboro; his aunt, Gerry McCaslin of McKean; and his good friend, Pam; also three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and are invited to attend memorial services there following, with Rev. Barb English officiating.

I counted Kevin as one of my closer friends in middle and high school. We lost touch after a few years out of school. I have fond memories of Kevin and was sad to hear of his passing. Thinking of his family and keeping them in my prayers.

Dear McCaslin Family and all of Kevin's loved ones,
I'm so sorry for your loss, my deepest sympathy goes out to all of you!
I am glad I had the opportunity to know Kevin over the last few years, may he rest in peace.
After he passed away, he still was able to provide a meaningful life for others through his organ donation. What a kind and thoughtful act, I'm sure there is a family, so grateful for his unselfish gift of life, what a honorable legacy to leave this world with knowing he helped someone's life to continue on...
