Leo Barbarini Obituary

Leo Barbarini Leo Barbarini, age 78, of Harborcreek, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born May 29, 1928 in Waterman, Pa, son of the late Eugene and Bertha Rinaldi Barbarini. Leo had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed by Zurn Industries for 35 years prior to his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church. Leo enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, wintering in Florida and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Troup Barbarini; Two daughters, Debra McWilliams and husband John of Waterford, Karen Mueller and husband James of Harborcreek; three sons, Robert Barbarini and fiancé Tammy Henry of Saxonburg, Pa, Michael Barbarini and wife Heidi of Hollidaysburg, Pa and Tom Barbarini and wife Darla of Mattawan, Mi; 1 sister, Geneva Lazor and husband Bern of Homer City, Pa; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one granddaughter, Emily Barbarini; one brother, Fred Barbarini; one sister, Mary Roner and his life long hunting friend Mike Signorino. No calling hours will be observed. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church. A Full Military Service will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery conducted by American Legion Carl Neff Post 571. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of PA, 2022 West 38th St., Erie, PA 16508. Dusckas Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
