Michael Gregorek, Obituary

Michael J. Gregorek, M.D., age 64, a resident of St. Mary's East, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020. Born in Erie, March 8, 1956, he was a son of the late Edward and Lois (Schlindwein) Gregorek.

Michael graduated from Cathedral Prep, received his B.S. degree from Gannon University, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He had a private practice for a few years but worked mostly in commercial and research roles in the Canton, Ohio area. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing pinochle and doing puzzles. Michael was a devout Catholic and a regular at Sunday Mass.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Ted Gregorek, Jr., who was like a brother to him.

He is survived by his sister, Jean Mosakowski, and his niece Hallie Mosakowski, both of Erie; and cousins, David Scott, and Paula Toedt, both of San Marcos, Calif.

Friends and family are invited to visit at St. Boniface Church 9367 Wattsburg Rd., Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., with Michael's cousin, Rev.
