Michael Curtis “Shane” Williams Jr. “Career Veteran” Michael Curtis “Shane” Williams Jr. age 46, of 2406 Wallace St. Erie died unexpectedly Saturday April 21, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Erie on May 29, 1960, son of Norma Jean “Bonnie” Martin Williams of Erie and Michael Curtis Williams, Sr. of Jamestown, N.Y. He was a graduate of Community Preparatory Academy, and served in the United States Navy as a dental technician and Chief Petty Officer, he also was a boxer in the Navy. He was an artist, musician, and loved jazz. He was the oldest of seven children and was proud to protect his six sisters and his mother while growing up. He was a member of Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing pool, reading and was very intellectual. In addition to his parents, he is survived by six sisters: Alice Williams Granberry and her husband Donald of Erie; Nona Williams Manus and her husband Terry of Erie; Charlene Williams Harris and her husband Eric of Atlanta, Ga.; Lisa Williams of Erie; Khadij Williams of Columbus, Ohio; Nadirah Williams of Erie; a son Ian Williams of Philadelphia; eight nieces; eight nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 602 West 10th St. Erie on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service at Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church 2624 German, Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev.
