My condolences to Morty's wife and children. Morty was a cousin I never had a chance to know. I played in the mountians of eastern Kentucky with his brothers as a boy and Morty came along after I left. I am saddened to hear of your loss, but these posts have assured me that he has left a legacy to be proud of.

When I first met Morty he was just a young man, he was the bestest , funniest , craziest , laugh out loud friend a mother could have. He treated my son like a nephew. What a great Man Mort was, He was always nice, and had a tough side too.. But for the most part he was a Teddy Bear. His Smile was one that would light a room and his laughter would get the whole room joining in. You will be sadly missed dear friend. See you on the other side.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Mort's sudden passing. My brother, brother-in-law and I all went to high school with him. I remember him as a very nice guy who was always fun to be around. I had seen him in recent years at a local store where I had worked, and I was so glad to see that time had been good to him, blessing him with a wonderful family who he was very proud of and he loved very much. Please know that our family mourns with yours at the loss of this truly great man. He will be missed.

I remember when Morty came to Erie from Kentucky. He was a great cousin who always said he be there if anyone ever bothered me. He was a big guy even being a middle school student at the time, but he was like a big teddy bear to me! We really enjoyed his company and hearing him talk with his Kentucky accent. He will be missed so much. I hope he is with Marge and Charlie in Heaven . We will miss you Mort.
