Raymond R. Scepura

"Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather" Raymond R. Scepura, age 79, of Laurel, Md., died Thursday, December 10, 2009 unexpectedly at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Forest City, Pa. on August 12, 1930 son of the late John and Mary Lanucha Scepura. He graduated from Academy High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the National Security Agency for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his model airplanes. He loved spending time with his grandchildren they were his life. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Felicia Matos, Celia Badura, Marian Scepura and Theresa Gallagher and four brothers, Stanley, Leo, Edward and Joseph Scepura. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pauline M. Schwing Scepura of Laurel, Md.; five Children, Steve Scepura and his wife, Cindy, Doug Scepura and his wife, Lisa, Mark Scepura and his wife, Barb, Stephanie Scepura and Jeff Scepura all of Md.; five grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsey, Chloe, Madison and Spencer Scepura; a sister, Romayne Foor and two brothers, John and Thomas Scepura; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service, Friday, December 11, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Martin officiating at the Francis V.
