A Friend forever

Enjoyed many years as a friend. While we both had careers at NSA, our primary contact was outside where we built a cabin along the Skyline Drive in Virginia, a week each year, for many years. I miss having contact with him and his always smiling face. On this anniversary, our prayers go out for Ray and his family.

I have known Ray for 65 years since my parents bought a home two doors from the Scepura family home. We shared the neighborhood at that time, shared our careers at the National Security Agency for over 30 years, and shared a cabin on a lake that three of us built. One thing we did not share were being dedicated fans of the NY Yankees. Some things never change-and he didn't.
There is one minor thing we always got a kick out of- First Ray, then myself and finally a Kubuick down the street-all living on the same street within a few houses in Erie, non-related but all polish - and all working at NSA! What are the odds?
Although I haven't seen Ray for a few years, I will always remember his quiet demeanor, his sense of family, his friendship, and his love and service to his country.
To Pauline, my Godson Doug, and the rest of the family, my wife Beverly and I, and particularily his Godson (my son) Christopher share in your sorrow and loss. You had many years and memories now to comfort each other.
