Richard L. Carrara, age 76, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born in Coal Hollow, Pa., March 31, 1936, a son of the late Joseph and Inez Contrini Carrara. Richard is the owner of Carrara Steel & Carrara Steel Erectors, Amthor Steel, Serafini's Restaurant, the Inn at Presque Isle, and Sparkling Ponds Winery. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church. Survivors include his wife, Tami Nicholson Carrara of Fairview; six sons, Kim Carrara, wife, Suzanne of Erie, Terry Carrara, wife, Paula of Erie, Kevin Carrara of Flint, Mich., Kris Carrara, wife, Tammy of Charlotte, N.C., Patrick Carrara, wife, Tara of Erie and Giovanni Carrara at home; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Diane Smith, husband, Wallace of St. Mary's Pa. Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd., Friday from 2 until 9 p.m. and may attend the Funeral Mass at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 West 6th St. on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
