Robert Castorina Obituary

Robert A. Castorina, 47, of Erie formerly of Tyrone died Monday March 12, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie following an extended illness. He was born May 13, 1964 in Tyrone a son of Alfio A. and Barbara (Allen) Castorina. Surviving are two daughters Felicia and Samantha both of Erie, a step-son Mitchell Mozur of Erie, his mother of Hollidaysburg and a brother Richard and wife Donna of Trumbull, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Rose Taylor. Mr. Castorina was employed at G.E., Transportation Division, Erie as a machinist toolmaker for 15 years. He previously worked at Alliance Plastics and Contract Machinary Services both of Erie. He was a member of the American Legion, Erie, Walnut Creek Rifle Club, NRA and the Gem City Outdoorsman Club. He was a 1982 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1983-1986. Robbie enjoyed riding his Harley. He is fondly remembered for his kind heart and good soul. Funeral Mass will be held Friday March 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Fr. Jozef Kovachik Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
