Theodore Bryant Obituary

Theodore Bryant Theodore “Ted” Bryant, 73, died May 21, 2005 at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Ted was born February 3, 1932 in Titusville, Pennsylvania to Margaret and Leonard Bryant. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and retired in 1971, and was stationed in many countries during his military career. While on duty in England, in 1955, he met and married the love of his life, Kathleen “Kay” Fadden. They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. After leaving the military, Ted worked for the Alaska Railroad as an electrician from 1976 to 1991. Ted and Kay were first stationed in Alaska in 1960. Like many other long time Alaskans they were here during the 1964 earthquake. Ted was a devoted animal lover, avid fisherman, and hunter. He was a member of the Sportsmens Club, Air Force Sergeants Association, and volunteered for the American Association of Retired Persons. Ted was very instrumental in forming the first Kidney Transplant Support Group in Anchorage about 15 years ago. He loved the time he was able to spend with his family in the lower 48, and in England. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Kay” Bryant, of Anchorage; sister, Rita Ghering; brothers, Donald, Raymond, and Alan Bryant; and sister-in-law, Bobbie Bryant; all of Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Fadden; and sister-in-law, Vera Fadden of North Hampton, England; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held June 2, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Anchorage with inurnment of his cremated remains at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alaska Kidney Foundation or your favorite charity.
