Not a day goes by that don't think about you, Tim. I'm picking up the next rank now and wish you were here to pin it on me. We were so bent on being the best and we were always competing against each other. I sometimes wonder if you would already be the next rank and I'd be catching up to you. To the Family of GySgt Cyparski,
I would like you to know that he is still making a difference in the lives of youn Marines. Today when I was correcting one of my Marines he asked me "Sergeant do you hate me?" and it reminded me of when I was a Lance Corporal and I thought of how many times I thought of that same question with at the time Sgt Cyparski. At that point I relized he never hated me he loved me like a brother and didn't want to see anything happen to me or any of us. So just know the lessons he taught and lives he touched have continued to carry his legacy. I am sorry that his Marines were so selfish with his time but thankyou for letting us share it with you.

For the Cyparski family my deepest condolences. It has been a short while since his passing and I will share with you that while we served together at SERE there was always a smile on his face and a kind word when needed. I shall forever hold dear the lasting memory of his grin and the light in his eyes.
He rests in peace in heaven now and , though I still shed a tear, I know he's safe and we will all get to see him again.

Ski, I have now moved on from SERE to the USS GEORGE H W BUSH. While on Comp2X in Mayport Fl i stumpled across a Marine who had served in the Middle East with you. As i sat on the bar stool next to him he told me story after story of how you personally affected his life and how you keep them all safe. You are missed and thought about daily. After spending the last 9 months in the Oregon state mental institution I think I may have an idea of what Ski was going through. I use the memory of him and others to get through each day and hopefully return to a "normal" life eventually.

It sadden me to learn today of Cyparski passing. Even after 9 yrs he is till in my thoughts. I knew him when he was a PFC and lost touch with him after he became a CLP. He is missed.

I met Tim through Shawn Vance, He spoke to our American Legion Post 21 Aux. regarding what kind items the troops would appreciate in care packages. We were all very touched by this young hero. I helped start The Gifts of Gratitude Troop Support Program and have been the chairperson since Sept. of 07. We ship care packages to troops oversea about every 45 days.
I think of Tim often as he inspired this program. Today, Veterans Day, as well as many others, He and his family have been on my mind in my thoughts.
God bless you Tim, may your memory always burn on. It will for me.

I worked with "ski" at sere school in Maine. He was a good friend who helped me start a charity called "Gifts of Gratitude" which still goes on in his name today. I will always remember him as a true American Hero and a good friend. Not all scars of war are phisical, they can be emotional as well. You will always be remembered Tim.

I deployed with Cyparski to Ramadi in 2005. I was the pogue Radio Operator but he kept me motivated despite my disability and helped me develop as a scout. Few of my Marine leaders had an impact the way he did. My perspective is forever changed and I am forever in his debt. Truly a great loss to all.

Tim was my platoon sergeant while we served together in Ramadi, Iraq. More importantly, he was a great friend. A man who would always be there when needed and an even better professional. He is certainly missed and there is not a day that goes by that he is not mentioned in some circle of mine. Ski was a great friend to me. Him and I served together in Iraq in 05'. It's been some time and I still think of him and all that he taught me. I'm now an officer in the Corps and alot is due to him. Tim was a great guy. I was deeply saddened to hear the news. I served with him at his last duty station. I talked to him a week or so before it happened and he seemed fine to me so the news hit me like a ton of bricks. He was an insperation to anyone he met. He was down to earth and would go out of his way to help you if you needed it. He was a true friend and leader.

I served with Tim in Iraq. My Wife Kim and I were also Neighbors with Alice and Tim while stationed at Camp Pendleton. Tim was a dedicated Marine and a close friend. Family and friends, words cannot express the sorrow we all feel and the whole left in our hearts. Anyone that spent more than an hour with Tim loved him. His charisma alone drew people to him. He was an inspiration to many and touched so many lives. He was a modern day hero that you read about in the history books. But more importantly, he was an amazing man. He was one of the best father figures I knew, even to my own children when I couldnt be there for them. He was also a loving husband. He will be deeply missed. To Tim's Family
Today I saw Tim's gift. So many came to his funeral. His long time childhood friends of Jeff, Rod, Craig, Jeremy, Craig and Kelly stood silently carrying their loss and memories and grateful for his presence in their lives. The sign of loyalty and brotherhood of his fellow Marines. This young family left their mark on many hearts today. Tim was a blessing.
Thanks Tim for all you gave to your family, friends, and country. Thanks to all the Marines who came and stood at the family's side. Thanks Linda for sharing Tim's life with us. Thanks Alice for the gift of your family. Thanks for the bond of Tim's friends.

Although we have never meet you we knew Tim,Alice,Devon,and Tyler. We could not make it to the service we where there and said our goodbyes, last sunday. Tim meant alot to us.
